NIPER Hyderabad requires suitable manpower for the positions as detailed below and invites candidates from among Indian citizens. Walk in interviews for the positions of S.Nos.5 to 8 will be conducted on 20th July, 2009 at 10 A.M. A written test will be conducted on 20th July for the positions of Assistants (Admn.) at IICT. The candidates have to report at 10.00 A.M, along with a passport size bust photo attested by a Gazetted Officer on the reverse of the photo for true identification. Short listed candidates out of the written test have to appear for interview on 21st July 2009. Laboratory Facilitation Manager - 1 post
Rs 37,400 to Rs 43,000
PhD preferably in Medicinal chemistry/ Pharmaceutical sciences with 3 to 5 yrs experience; skills of planning the infrastructure (lab equipments, fixtures etc)
Responsibilities include Planning and organizing of the procurement, maintenance and upkeep of the equipments, lab infrastructures and such other systems for the academic activities of the institute. The person is expected to be of scientific
background, with an orientation towards research/academic facilitation. His services will ensure the uninterrupted and efficient
infrastructure for the academic activities.
The following faculty positions are required in the Medicinal Chemistry (MC), Pharmacology & Toxicology (PT) and Pharmaceutical Analysis (PA) specializations at NIPER, Hyderabad.
Medicinal Chemistry (MC): Strong background in the design and synthesis of new organic molecules for various therapeutic areas. Exposure to latest drug design techniques such as combinatorial chemistry is desirable.
Pharmacology & Toxicology (PT): Strong background in the molecular and cellular approach in the area of pharmacological screening for various diseases. Exposure to regulatory toxicology and interpretation of data from laboratory animal studies.
Pharmaceutical Analysis: Strong back ground in modern analytical techniques in pharmaceutical formulations. Application of spectroscopic techniques, HPLC, LC/MS, validation of analytical methods, familiarity with GMP ,GLP, ICH and FDA regulations. Experience in method development.
Professor - 3 posts (One in each specialization)
Rs 43,000 to Rs 67,000
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch/subject with good academic record throughout and at least five/six years of teaching/industrial/ research experience with published work of high quality and an
established reputation of having made seminal contribution to knowledge in appropriate areas.The incumbent is to function as senior faculty, under take classes, practicals and research in the concerned specialization. He should assist the Course Coordinators and the Project Director in the academic management
Associate Professor - 3 posts (One in each specialization)
Rs 37,000 to Rs 67,000
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with good academic record throughout and at least three/four years of teaching/industrial/research experience OR
MPharm with six to seven years of experience in teaching graduate and post graduate students. Published work of high quality is desirable and should have an established reputation of having made
seminal contribution to knowledge in appropriate areasThe incumbent is to function as senior faculty and undertake classes/ research in the concerned areas in coordination
with his seniors.
Assistant Professor - 3 posts (One in each specialization)
Rs 15,600 to Rs 39,000
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least one/two years of teaching/industrial/research experience OR
M.Pharm in appropriate specialization with two/three years of experience in teaching / research Publications out of the research experience are desirable. Candidates without Ph.D can also apply, to be considered for the position of Lecturer, at a lower remuneration level.
The incumbent is to function as faculty for teaching and research in the concerned specialization and to
assist the Course Coordinators and Project Director in the academic management.
