Applications are invited along with the attested copies of Certificates of qualifications; experience etc. to fill the five purely temporary positions of Research Fellowships in the following areas in the Centre with Potential for Excellence in Biomedical Sciences, which is tenable for a period of one year likely to be extended from time to time.
The applications should reach to Professor A.S. Ahluwalia, Co-ordinator, Centre with Potential for Excellence in Biomedical Sciences, BMS Block, Panjab University, Chandigarh- 160 014, within ten days of publication of this advertisement. The amount of fellowship paid will be as per UGC norms.
A. Drug Discovery and Drug Development (2 positions) with special focus on:
i) Drug Design
ii) Structure Activity Relationship
iii) Clinical Studies of New Drugs
iv) Herbal Drug Technology and Standardization
v) Biotransformation
Qualifications:
M. Pharmacy (1st class) with GATE qualified
The applications of Research Scholars interested/engaged in the above-mentioned areas along with brief background of the Supervisor/Guide should be routed through proper channel. Also include brief concept research proposal (inter-disciplinary in nature) along with publications of the Supervisor/Guide during the last three years.
The applications will be duly screened by the appropriate Committee approved by the Vice-chancellor before forwarding them to the University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
It is pertinent to mention that candidates, who will receive the fellowships from the University under this scheme, will be working in the “Centre with Potential for Excellence in Biomedical Sciences” Panjab University, Chandigarh.
