A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Government of A.P., has entrusted the responsibility of conducting PGEC admissions 2008 to Osmania University for the academic year 2008-09. Accordingly, Osmania University has nominated Prof. RAMESHWAR RAO, Department of ECE, University College of Engineering, Osmania University as Convener, PGEC-2008 and Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University Prof.T.TIRUPATI RAO as Chairman, PGEC-2008.

In terms of orders issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Proceedings of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, applications are invited for appearing at the Post-Graduate Engineering Common Admissions – 2008 for (PGEC) admission into Ist year M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch./M.Plg. Degree Course for the academic year 2008-2009 in the all Universities in A.P and their affiliated colleges offering M.E./M.Tech./ M.Pharm./M.Arch./M.Plg. Programme.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates satisfying the following requirements will be eligible for admission to PG Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture courses - 2008.

1. The candidate should be of Indian Nationality

2. The candidate must possess valid GATE score in the concerned discipline.

3. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order of 1974 as subsequently amended.

4. The candidate should have passed B.E./B.Tech/AMIE/B.Pharmacy/B.Arch./B.Planning or equivalent examination seeking admission into postgraduate courses and its specialization. However, the candidates who have passed M.Sc./MCA with a Valid GATE Score are also eligible where ever applicable as indicated in the eligibility criteria. Specialization under category –I, II, III (See the Annexure A, B, and C in the information booklet)

5. Eligibility requirement is as per each programme/course offered and details are given in information booklet which is available along with application form or visit website http://www.osmania.ac.in/ and http://www.pgec2008.net/

Important Dates

Commencement of sale of application forms : 11-07-2008

Last date for the sale & receipt of application forms :

a) without late fee 24-07-2008
b) with a late fee Rs.500/- 31-07-2008

Sale Of Application Forms:

Applications are available at the following places and can be obtained by paying Rs. 500/- for others and Rs. 250/-(Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) for SC/ST through D.D. drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Secretary, APSCHE payable at Hyderabad on or before 24th July, 2008. 1. Duly filled in application forms and ICR forms obtained by paying application fee along with attested copies of certificates can be sent to the Convener.
